AXIS™ contains fulvic and humic compounds, which are naturally occurring organic substances known for their binding and transport properties.

Because chlorine is highly reactive, it can interact with organic compounds, including humic and fulvic substances. In drinking-water chemistry, these reactions are associated with the formation of disinfection byproducts such as trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids.

For this reason, we recommend mixing AXIS™ with filtered, spring, distilled, or otherwise non-chlorinated water or liquid whenever possible. This helps avoid unnecessary chlorine interaction and supports the product being used as intended.

If your tap water is chlorinated, using a quality water filter is preferred. Letting water sit out may reduce some free chlorine, but it may not remove chloramine, which many municipalities also use.
